This year many elementary and middle school students were only
given about a month’s worth of vacation.
So as school starts up, we continue to keep them all connected and busy
working for Jesus during their down time.
But soon, they’ll be back into the swing of things again!

Looking Ahead
Before the school year begins again, as a family we will be
visiting family and friends to rest and refresh our own lives for the work
ahead. God is so good!

News
As we hand over the reins of the congregation to a Mexican
pastor, we were encouraged by recent good news of a new project as part of the 1More4Christ church to start a sister congregation in the area with the assistance of the
mother church. I’m already looking
ahead. Thank You, Lord!

New Men
In a move to refresh and revive the men in the church, two from
the group decided to try something new.
They asked permission to change the meetings from Thursday evening at 8
to Saturday evenings at 7. We had the
pastoral candidate share a message and one of the invitees accepted Jesus into
his life. Wow, that’s powerful. Didn’t see that coming!

About Missions
Kiana got a chance on Sunday to share some vivid pictures of
her work in Uganda this summer with the congregation. She wanted to express that the work to touch
lives for Jesus is done, “Loving One By One.”
Great job, Kiana.

DAY 5 VBS
While song and dance was the highlight of the day, there
were also healthy snacks to reassure the parents that their kids were
well-taken-care-of. What a program! What a great opportunity to share Jesus with
our neighbors!

DAY 4 VBS
The kids managed to cover their fingers with glue and seeds
as they created their own picture frames where they would eventually place
their picture. It was fun to watch them
create and to finish in the time given to them.

DAY 3 VBS
Starting off with games, music, choreography, there were also Bible stories shared with all. This year
several of the stories were about Daniel.
Can you guess which one this one represents?
I’m sure you can get this second one!

DAY 2 VBS
We went around taking pics of the kids for a craft that they
are going to do. Both the teachers and
their assistants (the youth) also got theirs taken and many made frames to put
their pictures into.

DAY 1 VBS
As usual our first day of VBS was the most relaxing,
working
out the details and working with a small group.
But that was the last of that!
While the activity started at 11 and ended at 1 p.m., the
youth got together afterwards and went to pass out flyers to people in
different parks in different adjacent communities. We only had about 40 minutes because we got
hurricane like rains after that. So we
found shelter at a local ice cream shop and just waited out the storm.

Learning the steps
Part of the VBS was to prepare a choreography each day for a
new song for the kids to learn. Our
youth went out of their way to make this happen. It was amazing how quickly they learned the
steps.
