Serenade

On Friday the eve of Mexican Mother’s Day, celebrated on May 10, the youth got together to resurrect the old tradition of serenading their moms.  We started early, at about 9 p.m. to gather the youth and then transported them from house to house singing to each mom.  The original custom was to begin at about midnight and sing until dawn.
