Medical Emergency

I went up to visit my mom because she had surgery.  The doctors said that surgery at her age was risky, so at the request of my sister I went up to be close at hand, whatever the outcome.  Fortunately, my mom recovered quickly and we spent the rest of the time talking, eating and enjoying each other’s company.
