The coming of a ghost town…

As we come to the end of this year, we’ve begun to close shop on several of our activities.  The Tuesday evening women’s study had its last meeting last week and this week the Wednesday morning women’s study will have a breakfast to finish up its activities.   The men have been adamant about continuing their evening coffee times.  The youth, while subject to the activities of their parents, will have activities available during the vacation time.

We have scheduled a movie night in the street along with popcorn and hotdogs.  It will be an exciting night.

Because many have families living in Mexico city, they leave our neighborhood to spend the majority of the their vacation times with the extended family.  As a consequence, our neighborhood turns into a ghost town.  Many small stores will shut down and our street will seem deserted.
